Crazy Alert!

I’ve previously posted items about the batshit crazy antics of Texas governor Rick Perry (here and here), but apparently he’s not the only one. A handful (or rather, a few handfuls) of elected officials feel that their place is not to act on behalf of the people they represent, but rather to act in a manner which they believe represent god’s will.

Prepare to see some of my artwork getting a bit more political in the near future.

I normally don’t throw out curses online very frequently… but this is absofuckinglutely batshit crazy. First TX governor Perry proclaimed statewide days of prayer for rain, and now this??? I seriously hope no taxpayer money is going towards any aspect of this…

NOW, THEREFORE, I, RICK PERRY, Governor of Texas, under the authority vested in me by the Constitution and Statutes of the State of Texas, do hereby proclaim the three-day period from Friday, April 22, 2011, to Sunday, April 24, 2011, as Days of Prayer for Rain in the State of Texas.

No comment (and by no comment, I mean… basically, WTF?)
